We will not use Posted Content for promoting or advertising the Service without the User’s consent.

  2. Users can report objectionable or illegal content or abusive behavior using “Report” in the app, “Report” on web pages, or by contacting support@bonreel.com.
  3. As a rule, we review reports within 24 hours of receipt. If we confirm a violation, we promptly take measures such as deleting the content, removing the contributing User from the Trip, suspending use, or deleting the account. Urgent matters, such as child sexual exploitation or danger to life or physical safety, receive immediate action, including reports to relevant authorities.
  4. Users can block other Users. Posts by blocked Users are no longer shown on the blocking User’s screen, and notifications about those posts are no longer delivered. Movies created by other Members may nevertheless contain photos or videos from blocked Users.
  5. We may review reported content and related information to the extent necessary to respond to reports, investigate issues, or comply with laws.
  6. We are not obliged to explain the reasons for measures under this Article.

Article 11. Suspension and other measures

  1. If a User violates these Terms or we reasonably determine that a violation is likely, we may, without prior notice, delete Posted Content, remove the User from a Trip, suspend all or part of the Service, delete the account, or take similar measures.
  2. We are not liable for damage caused by these measures, except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence.
  3. Even if we take measures under paragraph 1, Trip Upgrade payments will not be refunded unless required by law.

Article 12. Trip Upgrade (in-app purchase)

  1. A Trip Upgrade is a consumable in-app purchase (a one-time purchase) for one specific Trip. The price is shown on the purchase screen (¥1,480 including tax in the Japanese App Store).
  2. Purchasing a Trip Upgrade provides the following benefits for that Trip:
    1. HD Movie export (1080p)
    2. Movie export without the ending logo (watermark)
    3. Full-length Movies covering the Trip’s highlights (up to 5 minutes, depending on the amount of material)
    4. Background Movie generation on supported devices
    5. Keeping the Trip’s original photos and videos (they are not deleted because of the storage limit in Article 14; originals already deleted because of the storage limit before purchase are not restored)
  3. All Members of the relevant Trip can use the benefits. Benefits remain with the Trip even if the purchasing User leaves.
  4. Purchasing a Trip Upgrade requires linking Sign in with Apple.
  5. Payment follows Apple’s methods and conditions.
  6. We do not refund Trip Upgrade payments unless required by law. Apple determines refund eligibility under its procedures. If Apple issues a refund, we revoke the benefits for the relevant Trip. Originals are still kept for 30 days after revocation and then return to the storage limit in Article 14.
  7. Benefits apply after our servers verify the purchase. Network conditions and similar factors may delay this. Contact support@bonreel.com if benefits do not appear.
  8. Movies created before purchase are not automatically converted. Recreate a Movie after purchase to apply the benefits.
  9. Benefits are linked to the Trip. If the Trip is deleted (including by its Owner or through account deletion), benefits are lost and payments are not refunded.
  10. As a consumable purchase, the Trip Upgrade is not eligible for App Store “Restore Purchases.” After changing devices or similar events, link Sign in with Apple using the same Apple account used for the purchase to check benefits for Trips you belong to.
  11. Device performance, OS version, free storage, and similar factors may prevent Movie creation with the benefits or make it take time. Background generation is available only on supported devices.

Article 13. Sharing Movies and music

  1. Users can post Movies to Trips, save them on devices, and share them. When publishing Movies outside the Service, follow Article 7, paragraph 4.
  2. Music (BGM) and other materials included in Movies are licensed to us by their rights holders. Users may use them only as part of Movies created with the Service and must not extract, use, or distribute them separately.
  3. External services such as social media may impose restrictions, including muting Movie audio, based on their automated detection.

Article 14. Data retention and deletion

  1. We delete original photos and videos in free Trips (Trips without a Trip Upgrade) 30 days after the later of the time each was uploaded and the end of the Trip’s end date (00:00 on the following day). The end date is counted only up to 60 days after upload, so the limit is at most 90 days after upload. If the Trip has no end date, the limit is 30 days after upload. This limit also applies to Trips created before this revision of these Terms, but no originals are deleted during the 30 days after the revision takes effect.
  2. Deleting originals leaves the Trip, chats, Members, thumbnails, viewing images, lightweight viewing versions of videos (where created), and Movies posted to the Trip in place.
  3. We notify Trip Members by push notification 7 days and 1 day before the limit (if notifications are allowed), and also on the Trip screen in the app. Until the limit, Trip Members can save the originals to their devices in bulk. Originals deleted after the limit cannot be restored.
  4. Originals in Trips with a Trip Upgrade are not deleted because of the storage limit. If the purchase is revoked, they return to the normal storage limit 30 days after revocation (Article 12).
  5. Except as provided in the preceding paragraphs, Posted Content is retained until deleted by the contributing User or Trip Owner, or until the account is deleted.
  6. We may delete Trips or accounts that have been inactive for a long time after providing advance notice in the app.

General

Article 15. Account deletion

  1. Users can delete their accounts at any time using “Delete account” in the app. Users who joined a Trip on the web can delete their accounts at any time using “Delete account and all data” on the Trip page (photos and videos added to the Trip are also deleted).
  2. Account deletion deletes the User’s display name, profile photo, posted photos, videos, chats, comments, hearts, and similar information. Deletion cannot be undone.
  3. Trips owned by the User are deleted, including other Members’ Posted Content and Trip Upgrades.
  4. We may retain consent and purchase records for a period after account deletion in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

Article 16. Intellectual property rights

Rights in the Service (including the app, web pages, logos, designs, and programs) belong to the Company or legitimate rights holders. These Terms license use of the Service within the scope stated here and do not transfer those rights to Users.

Article 17. Changes, interruptions, and discontinuation

  1. We may change the Service. We will give advance notice of changes that materially affect Users.
  2. We may interrupt the Service without prior notice due to maintenance, failures, natural disasters, external service outages, or other unavoidable reasons.
  3. We may discontinue the Service with at least 30 days’ notice. After discontinuation, we will delete stored Posted Content.
  4. Trip Upgrades upon discontinuation will be handled in accordance with law.

Article 18. Disclaimers

  1. We do not guarantee that the Service suits Users’ particular purposes, has their expected features or quality, is free of defects, or remains continuously available.
  2. We are not liable for damage caused by Users’ device failures or settings, network environments, or external services (such as Apple or social media).
  3. Disputes between Users, or between Users and third parties (including people appearing in content), shall be resolved by the parties involved. We will cooperate as necessary within the scope of law.
  4. The preceding three paragraphs do not apply in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, or where laws such as Japan’s Consumer Contract Act do not permit exemption from liability.

Article 19. Limitation of damages

If we are liable to a User for damages (except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence), our liability is limited to direct and ordinary damage actually incurred by the User, capped at the amount the User paid for the Service during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the damage.

Article 20. Exclusion of antisocial forces

Users represent and warrant that they are not organized crime groups, members of such groups, or equivalent antisocial forces, and have no relationships with them. If we determine a User has violated this provision, we may suspend use and delete the account without prior notice.

Article 21. Personal information

We handle User information in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

Article 22. Notices and contact

  1. We notify Users through notices in the app or on web pages, push notifications, or other methods we consider appropriate.
  2. Users can contact us at support@bonreel.com.

Article 23. Changes to these Terms

  1. We may change these Terms when:
    1. The change serves Users’ general interests
    2. The change does not conflict with the purpose of these Terms and is reasonable in light of its necessity, the appropriateness of the changed provisions, and other circumstances
  2. When changing these Terms, we will announce the change, the amended text, and the effective date in the app or on web pages a reasonable period before the change takes effect.

Article 24. Assignment of rights and obligations

  1. Users may not transfer or pledge their status under these Terms or their rights or obligations to third parties without our written consent.
  2. If we transfer the business relating to the Service to a third party, we may transfer our status under these Terms, rights and obligations, and User information to that third party.

Article 25. Severability

If any provision of these Terms or part of it is found invalid or unenforceable under law or otherwise, the remaining provisions remain effective.

Article 26. Special terms for apps obtained through the App Store

  1. These Terms are between the Company and the User; Apple Inc. (“Apple”) is not a party. The Company, rather than Apple, is responsible for the app and its content.
  2. Apple has no obligation to maintain or support the app. We handle claims relating to the app, including product liability, noncompliance with laws or regulations, consumer protection or privacy claims, and third-party intellectual property infringement claims.
  3. Use of the app is subject to these Terms, the App Store terms (including Usage Rules), and Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
  4. Users represent and warrant that they are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo and are not listed on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  5. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and have the right to enforce these Terms against Users as third-party beneficiaries upon Users’ acceptance.
  6. Inquiries, complaints, and claims concerning the app should be directed to the contact in Article 22, paragraph 2.

Article 27. Governing law and jurisdiction

  1. These Terms are governed by and interpreted under Japanese law.
  2. Disputes between the Company and Users concerning the Service or these Terms are subject to the exclusive agreed jurisdiction, at first instance, of the district court with jurisdiction over 4-906-6 Momoyama, Midori-ku, Nagoya, Aichi, Japan.
  3. The Japanese version of these Terms is authoritative. If a translation differs, the Japanese version prevails.
